The Department of State Services has alleged that some persons are plotting to undermine national security, peace and unity.
Spokesman of the agency, Peter Afunaya said this in a statement in Abuja today.
The spokesman of the secret police did not mention any name or group but said the service will not relent in its bid to secure the country.
He maintained that the individuals are determined to exploit political differences and other occurrences, within and outside the country, to destabilize the nation.
Afunaya also asked the public to be conscious of fake news, warning those in the habit of spreading false reports to desist.
While condemning what it described as the unpatriotic and misguided activities of these anti-social elements, the Service equally warned them to desist forthwith from their unholy acts as the full weight of the law will be brought against them.
The warning comes at a time when the presidential election tribunal is set to give its verdict on the petition Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in the 2019 general election, filed to challenge the victory of President Muhammadu Buhari.
